A girl walked down the road wearing a blue jacket with the hood pulled over her face and tan khaki. She stopped in front of the cemetery gates and pulled the hood back. Cat like ears perked up as she looked at the lock and chain. Her nails sharpened as she gripped the steel bars and climbed up, leaping to the other side.
She opened her blue/green eyes and walked pass the gravestones and looked at the worn-down mansion. She walked up the steps and pushed the door open and walked into the foyer.
“Summer-Rain…”
Rain glanced back as a bat flew pass and landed upside down on a hook, closing its wings around its body.
“Terrance, stop messing around would you?” Rain asked pulling off her jacket as a leopard print tail swung down.
The bat grinned slightly, showing white fangs. A baseball flew by and hit it as the bat fell to the ground and morphed into a boy with black hair and a pink bang. He glared over at a younger girl with pink hair standing next to another boy with pink hair.
“Aelita!” Terrance yelled angrily.
Aelita smiled and the boy leaned over the railing and looked down at Rain.
“Hello Rain, how are you this evening?” He asked.
Rain glanced up at him as she hung her jacket on the hook.
“Just fine, Lawrence” Rain said.
Lawrence nodded as Terrance stood and dusted off his pant legs.
“I still can’t believe school is about to start again” Terrance said with a sigh.
“You have nothing to complain about, this is your last year of school”
Terrance growled lowly and looked back at a girl and a man.
“Jonathan, why don’t you shut up?” Terrance asked. “It’s your last year too”
“Yea, but it’s Ana’s first year” Jonathan said placing his hand on the girl’s shoulder.
“Look, lets just be glade we’re all transferring to a monster school” Rain said walking up the stairs.
“Yea, I don’t know how much longer I could take of human school” Aelita said. “Who needs algebra anyway?”
“Uh, everyone” Lawrence said glancing down at her.
Aelita paused and lowered her ears.
“Oh right…” She said.
Rain walked down the hallway and pulled the door open as two young boys looked back at her.
“Tre, Kenya. Bed” Rain said.
“Awe, Rae come on” Tre whined.
“Bed, we have a long trip tomorrow” Rain said and pulled the door shut.
She sighed and walked into the solarium as two men glanced back at her.
“Rain, where’d you go?” One asked.
“Come on Setsuna, you know she likes to take long walks…alone” The other said smiling back at her.
“Your one to talk, Sakuya, your 35 and don’t even have a girlfriend” Rain said grinning.
“True, very true” Setsuna said nodding.
“Well, I’m going to bed, tell the rest of the house I said goodnight and I’m waking them up at 6:30 A.M” Rain said.
“Got it” Sakuya said as she walked out.
